New Uncharted 2 cutscene puts all other sequels to shame
Previous trailers had already assuaged fears that the first game’s lovable sidekicks wouldn’t be returning, but I am still thrilled to see Elena in this latest cinematic cutscene from Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, which looks to improve upon the original in every way - better graphics, broader story, bigger cast. And get a load of Nathan Drake and Buddhist Anthony Hopkins chewing the virtual scenery to bits. The voice acting! The body movements! The facial animations! The amount of work Naughty Dog has put into making these characters come to life is almost as staggering as Nate’s rugged good looks.
Seriously, remind me why videogame characters aren’t eligible to win an Oscar, because these chunks of code are acting circles around anything Hollywood has churned out lately.
