Diablo 3 team once again sticks it to the haters
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I would totally play a game where a unicorn shat rainbows.
The bright new art direction in Diablo III has been the talk of angry fan forums for ages, prompting the development team to sport custom Diablo III t-shirts featuring unicorns and rainbows at the BlizzCon 2008 Convention.
But if you thought that was the end of the colorful controversy, let me direct your attention to last week’s comments on the Battle.net forums, where fans joked that the new “Cow Level” should be the “Unicorn and Rainbow Level” and that the Thousand Pounder should wear the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man’s trademark hat.
In response, the game’s community manager, and my new personal hero, obliged with two altered screens featuring the unicorn’s devastating love spree and the marshmallow man’s furious rampage.
